Dr.
Robert Foss
Dr
Foss grew up in Des Moines, graduated from Iowa State
University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979. After
graduation he returned to Des Moines area and started
practice at Ashworth Road Animal Hospital. Dr Foss has
a special interest in ophthalmology. He resides in West
Des Moines with his wife, Lisa, two chocolate labs,
and three cats. His three children, Molly, Jon, and
Debbie have all left the "nest". Extracurricular
activities include running, soccer, and handyman projects.

Dr.
Jessica Merk
Dr
Merk, originally from Wanaque, NJ, is a 2001 graduate
of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
She joined Ashworth Road Animal Hospital September of
2004 after moving to Iowa from NJ. She has a special
interest in feline medicine. She resides in Des Moines
with her husband, Jason, her 3 adorable cats (Heidi,
Holly and Willow), and her 2 crazy ferrets (Emma and
Zippy). Dr. Merk and her husband are expecting their
first child in February 2006. In her free time, she
enjoys hiking, reading, traveling and spending time
with her family.

Mari
Linn, RVT - Registered Veterinary Technician
Mari
graduated from the veterinary technician program at
Kirkwood Community College in 2004. After passing her
board exams, she practiced briefly in Tampa, Florida
before moving back to Iowa with her dog "Willy"and
joining the Ashworth Road staff.

Nikki
Gordinier - Veterinary Technician
Nikki
lives in Des Moines with her dog, Shady and 4 cats,
Max, Lillypad, Mr. Big and Calalillie. She has been
working at Ashworth Road for 2 years. She enjoys working
with all animals, especially cats. In her spare time
she cleans aquariums, babysits and goes to school.

Terri
McKinney - Veterinary Technician
Terri
resides in Newton with her husband, Andy, daughter Brittany
and their "zoo". She has been a veterinary
technician with Ashworth Road Animal Hospital for 3
years. She enjoys working with all the animals, especially
the elderly or the "challenging". In her free
time she enjoys ATA TaeKwonDo, photography and spending
time with her family and pets.
