LASER SURGERY IS HERE AT ASHWORTH ROAD !!!

FIRST IN THE DES MOINES AREA!

Carbon dioxide laser surgery is not new to human surgery but is a new technique to veterinary surgery. The number of carbon dioxide lasers in use for veterinary surgery doubled from 1998 to 1999. The laser is used as an alternative to the traditional scalpel blade. The "lasing" of tissue is much less traumatic than cutting it with a scalpel.

WHAT IS LASER and WHY IS IT BETTER FOR YOUR PET ??

The use of laser for your pet's surgery will mean a quicker recovery. As the laser cuts through tissue it seals nerves, blood vessels, and lymph vessels. This means that there will be virtually a pain-free incision that has minimal bleeding and swelling. This benefit is possible because of the extreme precision allowed by the laser. Since it "lases" by vaporizing water particles in tissue, the amount of tissue removed at one time is extremely small.
